Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Category Customer Service Date Needed By 10/4/2021 Shift Type First Shift Travel None Job Description Silgan Closures is seeking a dynamic professional who will develop key relationships, both internal and with external customers, to ensure that our orders are filled in full and on time. The successful candidate with provide ongoing sales support and value-based customer services in a team-oriented environment.

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of people, learn about our comprehensive portfolio of closures for food and beverage packaging and be a key link to our customers, our manufacturing network, and the rest of our sales team, while delivering exceptional customer service and support. As a Customer Account Specialist, you will:

* Review, process and confirm orders received from customers on a daily basis in order to place orders for production and to release closures for shipment.

* Prepare inventory reports and planned production reports for our customers.

* Review credit conditions and resolve payment discrepancies to ensure material availability for customers' requirements.

* Communicate and interface with customers and sales managers.

* Create customs paperwork for international shipments.

* Report on old age/slow moving inventory and review with sales manager.

* Enter issues as reported by the customers in order to alert the plant of a problem, and to promptly resolve the issue.

* Request/submit new artwork and color matches to Design Services and send completed artwork to customers for approvals.

* Prepare and report month-end shipments to the customers and sales manager.

* Update the forecasting system with the most up-to-date customer requirements and shipping information available for assigner customers

Job Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Minimum one (1) year related experience.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Word and Excel.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

* Excellent problem solving skills.

* Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.

* Self-motivated and self-directed.

* Strong listening and presentation skills.

* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
